Region 4 –  Region 4 – West: AR,AZ,CA,CO,HI,LA,NM,NV,OK,TX,UT,WY (Green Ballots at Convention)

Shruti Bhakta, General Manager/Owner, Rodeway Inn, Santee, CA
In 2009, I joined the Rodeway Inn family and it felt like it was the right brand with flexibility and cost savings, so much so that I converted a gold star performing property located right by the beach to a Rodeway Inn in 2014.  I work hands on with my staff as well as manage the property closely, so I have a first look at many of the issues and concerns that other Rodeway owners encounter on a daily and monthly basis.

I have served for 2 years on the Rodeway Owners Association Board and am currently an instrumental part of the Board.  I have voiced owners concerns to Choice on various fronts.  It is still a learning process, but I now know who to go to for more information for various issues that owners bring to my attention.  I have attended and planned several meetings for Rodeway Owners, including a successful townhall in Southern California and I look forward to planning more to share helpful information for operations to Rodeway Owners across the nation.

Various owners and managers have reached out to me from states outside of my region and I am always happy to help resolve problems or address issues/concerns.  I have always stated that I may not have all the answers, but I will do all that I can to get someone in touch who can provide answers.

I look forward to working with the Rodeway Owners Association in the upcoming term and thank you for your support.

Deepti Patel, Owner, Rodeway Inn, San Antonio, TX
I have been involved with hotel industry since 1995. I have owned and operated a Rodeway Inn since 2004. I believe to serve any board you should know your grass root and bring that experience to help others. My main purpose to serve on this board is to be a liaison to all Rodeway Inn Owners. I am actively involved in many organization such as AAHOA, SAHLA, THLA, AHLA and I would like to bring that experience to ROA board & help to make change in the future.

Our thanks to the candidates for their willingness to support our association and play an active role in our leadership.

Elections will be held during our Annual Meeting at the Choice Convention on May 12 at 2 p.m. in Jasmine A/B at Mandalay Bay. Per our bylaws, each property in the region holding elections will receive one vote. A property must be operating as a Rodeway and in good standing under the licensee agreement to be eligible to vote.

We look forward to seeing you in Las Vegas!
