2015 Annual Meeting and Elections

Dear Fellow Rodeway Inn Owners and Operators:

2015 is moving by quickly and we will soon have the opportunity to join together at Choice Hotels’ 61st Annual Convention at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, May 12 – 14, 2015.

Rodeway Owners Association Annual Meeting
We will hold the annual Rodeway Owners Association Meeting on Wednesday, May 13 at 2:00 p.m. in Bayan A/B during the Choice Convention. We’re excited to present the meeting in a new, interactive format to help you learn from experts and decision makers on the topics that are important to your business. Look for more information in the coming weeks.

Official Notice of Elections
During our annual meeting we will hold elections for directors for regions one and three*. Our bylaws require that we provide 45 days advance notice of elections. As volunteer members of the Board, who are focused on our own businesses and families, we regret that we did not meet the advance notice deadline for the upcoming elections. In consultation with the staff at Choice Hotels, we will be able to hold these elections as planned and will accept nominations beginning now through the annual meeting on May 13. Nominations will also be accepted from the floor during the meeting.

Criteria for Nominees and Nomination Process
In accordance with the association’s bylaws, all nominees must meet the following criteria:

  • Have a financial interest (owner, general partner, president, vice president, shareholder) in a Rodeway Inn hotel in the region you seek to represent and maintain this status during elected term
  • Have been in this position with an open and operating Rodeway Inn hotel for at least one year
  • Must be present during the annual meeting and elections
  • The Rodeway Inn hotel must be in good standing with all Choice Hotels’ policies

All Rodeway Inn hotels in good standing are members of the Rodeway Owners Association.

Please consider volunteering your time and becoming an active member of your Board. Through active participation, we can all work together to improve our brand and our individual hotels. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to any of our current Board members. They will be happy to share their experience, details on time commitments and answer any questions you may have.

To officially submit a nomination for a position in region one or three, please send your name, contact information and resume to shruti.roaboard@gmail.com.

We had a great turnout at last year’s annual meeting and at our fall regional meetings and hope that you will all plan to join us again as we build on this momentum. We look forward to seeing you in Las Vegas and thank you for your continued support of the Rodeway Owners Association.

Sincerely,

Manoj Patel, Chairman
